About the Author

Kerrie Hoar, M.S.
Kerrie Hoar is retired after 20 years of teaching at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She received a B.S. In Biology and a B.S. In Animal Science from Montana State University in 1992 and an M.S. In Biology from Montana State University in 1995. As a senior lecturer and anatomy and physiology laboratory coordinator at UWL, Kerrie taught anatomy and physiology I and II labs (with enrollments of over 1000 students), as well as developing and teaching a course in human cadaver dissection. She co-wrote BIO 312 Human Anatomy and Physiology I Laboratory Manual and BIO 313 Human Anatomy and Physiology II Laboratory Manual (Bluedoor Publishing) and provided the dissections and photographs for the cat atlas in Human Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory Manual: Making Connections, Cat Version by Catharine C. Whiting (Pearson Publishing). She currently works with several publishing firms as a freelance editor and writer and is an active member of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS).
